Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has strongly condemned the brutal and murderous attack by the occupying Zionist forces on the West Bank city of Jenin.
The attack has martyred at least 4 and wounded dozens of oppressed and defenseless Palestinians.
Kanaani noted that the escalation of criminal acts by the Zionists in the West bank and the Gaza Strip in recent months and the massacre of Palestinian people including children, women and the elderly as well as the destruction of the properties and homes of Palestinians are a gross example of organized crime and official terrorism.
He said the international community, especially the UN, is responsible for taking immediate deterrent measures against such inhumane acts.
Kanaani also described as worrisome, the inaction of the UN and world countries in the face of settlement expansions by the Zionist regime in the West Bank.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman further strongly criticized the silence and passiveness of Western governments regarding the issue.
Kanaani demanded the international bodies and countries that support the Palestinian issue fulfill their legal, humane and ethical responsibility in defense of the rights of the oppressed people of Palestine and hold to account the Zionist regime over such crimes and acts that are in violation of international law.
