Iran (IMNA) – Both leaders emphasized the importance of taking practical steps to strengthen bilateral political, economic, and cultural ties. Raeisi announced the Islamic Republic of Iran’s readiness to enhance and promote cooperation with Turkey in the energy sector.

The conversation also touched upon the ongoing Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip, with Raeisi condemning the Zionist regime’s disregard for United Nations Security Council resolutions and international law. He called for increased cooperation among Islamic countries to support the oppressed people of Gaza.

Raeisi suggested that one way to deter the Zionist regime from committing crimes in Gaza is by completely cutting off political and economic relations with the regime, as long as the US continues to financially and militarily support Israel. Erdogan, in response, assured that the Turkish government would follow through and implement the agreements made between the two countries.
