Tehran (ISNA) – Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran took to twitter to respond to criminal and terrorist acts by Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Albania.

“Reportedly, Albanian police entered Camp Ashraf to inspect the facility by the order of Albanian supreme counter-terrorism court,” said Nasser Kanaani, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on twitter.

He added, “The reason for the search was announced to be MKO’s criminal and terrorist acts in Albania”.

“Albanian officials reported seizure of electronic systems and drones used by MKO to organize and direct their terrorist actions, stating that the organization’s terrorist and cyber activities constitute a breach of the contract reached in 2014 with the Albanian government,” the spokesman went on to say.

“Given their terrorist nature, MKO will always be a danger to their hosting countries’ security. That’s why Iraq expelled them and other governments around the world refuse to let them in,” Kanaani stressed.

“We hope the Albanian government makes up for its mistake in hosting the terrorist organization,” he added.
