Imam’s Influence and Teaching
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) attracted over four thousand students, including renowned scholars like Jabir Ibn Hayyan and Abu Hanifa, spreading knowledge in religious sciences, chemistry, medicine, mathematics, and astronomy. His teachings, rooted in the traditions of the Prophet (PBUH) and his predecessors, formed the basis of the Shi’a jurisprudential school.

Political Landscape and Martyrdom
During a tumultuous era marked by the fall of the Umayyad Empire and the rise of the Abbasid caliphate, Imam al-Sadiq (AS) navigated political strife to propagate Islam peacefully. Despite pressures from rulers like al-Mansur, who sought to distort Islamic beliefs, Imam al-Sadiq (AS) remained steadfast, ultimately facing martyrdom through poisoning on the 25th of Shawwal, 148 Hijri.
